Definition of ‘Make’ – To force such as in ‘make me’.
To create, such as in to mold, or cause something to exist or come about.
Psalms 23:1-2
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul; he leadeth in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
The Lord shepherds his flock, not to force them to comply, consequently violating their agency. But rather, we have been made (maketh me) to experience the beauty and peace of green pastures, and still waters through seeking and living our lives in righteousness.
We become one with the Father, the son, and each other, not by being coerced, but by the Holy Spirit dwelling within us and binding us together.
